First, let us explain what we mean by Service Level:

Service Level means how clean we are going to be expected to maintain a particular parking lot each and every time we sweep it. In other words, what degree of cleanliness do you expect us to maintain, and what degree of cleanliness do you need to see the final prices reflect. The more you expect of our sweeping service, the higher level of service you will have to select. The higher the level of service required or requested means the more time and effort we will have to put into maintaining your area, and that means the more we will have to charge (the higher the cleaning fee). In other words, the higher the Service Level the more that is or will be expected of us to assure your satisfaction.  Thus, your bid will be higher.

JD's Super Sweepers offers 5 Service Levels. 

The lowest the level of service, 1 (level one), says we will spend the least amount of time cleaning to meet the your specs.  It also means the customer's specs are basic and not very time consuming to meet, i.e., drive on and sweep up loose paper trash only. So, level one means in and out. Go in vacuum up all the loose trash and debris and you are done. Level five, on the other hand, means you will spend whatever amount of time it takes to leave the parking lot in the cleanest condition possible, i.e., sweeping, blowing, and hand picking work with additional attention paid to curbs, islands, storefronts, and dumpsters.  Obviously, this level is the most time and labor intensive.  And of course, there are the levels in-between (levels 2, 3, and 4).

Since it is impossible to set hard and fast rules, the following descriptions of levels are offered as a guideline. Some flexibility is acceptable and will not cause any great errors in the bidding process.  However, you need to follow them to a reasonable degree for the bid to stay realistic and competitive.  For example, if you are planning to have us only sweep up paper trash in one pass without blowing out the storefront or front sidewalk and you select a level 4 or 5, your bid will probably be high. That is why we say these levels of service are general guidelines, to be used with your knowledge about your own special requirements.

     Service Level 1

Includes:

Cleaning loose trash and debris that has collected on the parking lot only. 
Sweeping up of the loose trash that builds up around the curbs in one pass. 
Driver usually will not need to get out of the sweeper

Does not include:

     Cleaning islands (hand picking), storefronts or sidewalks, sand and dirt build-up around curbs (except for the curb right in front and next to main building)
     Blow out and clean dumpster spill over

     Clean below ground loading docks

     Service Level 2

Includes:

Clean parking lot of all trash and debris (not just loose paper trash

Clean curb of trash, sand and dirt in front of and next to main building

Blow out main store fronts, entrances, exits and sidewalks around main store front

 Does not include:

     Cleaning islands (hand picking), storefronts or sidewalks, sand and dirt build-up around curbs (except for the curb right in front and next to main building)

     Blow out and clean dumpster spill over

     Clean below ground loading docks

     Service Level 3

Includes:

Clean parking lot of all trash and debris

Clean curb in front of and next to main building

Blow out main store fronts, entrances, exits and sidewalks around main store front

Clean curbing of all trash build-up (even some hand work)

Does not include:

     Cleaning islands (hand picking), storefronts or sidewalks, sand and dirt build-up around curbs (except for the curb right in front and next to main building)

     Blow out and clean dumpster spill over

     Clean below ground loading docks

     Service Level 4

Includes:

Clean parking lot of all trash and debris

Clean curb in front of and next to main building

Blow out main store fronts, entrances, exits and sidewalks around main store front

Clean curbing of all trash build-up (even some hand work)

Pick-up and clean out all islands, especially those next to the main building and main entrances and exits

Does not include:

     Blow out and clean dumpster spill over

     Clean below ground loading docks

     Service Level 5

Includes:

Clean parking lot of all trash and debris

Clean curb in front of and next to main building

Blow out main store fronts, entrances, exits and sidewalks around main store front

Clean curbing of all trash build-up (even some hand work)

Pick-up and clean all islands, especially those next to the main building and main entrances & exits.

Clean out islands (hand picking)

Blow out and clean dumpster spill over

Clean below ground loading docks

And again, please remember, these levels are not carved in stone but are meant to be used as guidelines.
